LED Wall Acceptance Testing: What to Ask

Learn what Singapore business buyers should ask during fixed indoor LED wall acceptance testing before signing off installation.

LED wall acceptance testing is the final check that a fixed indoor display has been installed, configured, and handed over as agreed. For Singapore business buyers, it is a practical opportunity to confirm that the screen is ready for daily use, not simply switched on for a brief demonstration.

What should the visual test cover?

Ask the installation team to show the full display using several normal content types, such as presentation slides, video, text, and dark images. Check the whole wall from the main viewing areas for dead pixels, unusual colour differences, visible seams, flicker, banding, or brightness changes between cabinets. Pixel pitch should suit the expected viewing distance and content detail, so confirm that the installed result matches the approved design intent rather than judging it only from close range [3]. Ask whether brightness, colour, and grayscale settings have been calibrated consistently across the screen [4].

Which operating and content checks matter?

The test should include the actual signal sources and control workflow that staff will use. Ask the team to demonstrate input switching, resolution changes, playback, screen start-up, shutdown, and recovery after a signal interruption. Confirm that content is shown at the correct aspect ratio without unexpected cropping or stretching. If the wall will be divided into sections or used with multiple sources, test each intended layout. Record which equipment, cables, control software, and user actions are included in the handover, and ask for clear instructions for routine operation.

SECTION / 03

What should be checked before sign-off?

Acceptance should also cover the installation environment, access, and documentation. Confirm that cabinets and visible finishes are secure, service access is understood, and ventilation paths are not blocked. Ask for confirmation that power distribution, isolators, earthing, and loading arrangements have been coordinated with the relevant building and electrical teams; the final approach depends on the site design and qualified professionals [5]. Check that the handover includes test records, configuration details, as-built information where applicable, and a written list of outstanding items. Do not sign off unresolved defects merely because the wall displays an image.
